The next decree was that anything that the Crusaders deemed “an item of interest” was seized by them and locked away in the vaults. The third was to conscript and train guards for the Citadel. All weapons were to be surrendered, only the guards were permitted to carry any.

Over the coming months, New Crusaders would occasionally pass through our village and visit the Citadel. Sometimes they would arrive with a prisoner or two, sometimes with a well guarded chest. It seemed that they had begun turning the Citadel into some sort of headquarters...
